Flowers in Oil

Okay so started the Art Foundation course about 7 weeks ago now, and its been rather fun with the whole 'back to basics' stuff.

This is going toward my final piece for our second project 'ainting'....a broad enough title or what? Haha so no idea why i started painting flowers but i'm glad i did as i really like these ones i did in oil paint. My tutor originally wanted me to paint really big in the style of Jo Self but last time i painted big flowers it just looks all horrible and messy.

So, choosing to ignore him i decided upon doing a series of small oils instead....these ones are all 9inches high and vary from 4.5 to 8 inches wide. Not sure how i'm going to present them yet but possibly on a black frame.

All flowers are based on photographs that i took. Each one took roughly 1-2hrs.

If any of you are really up on your painting please give me some pointers as i'd love any criticism. Otherwise please view full and comment away!
